In the E3 Day 2 Press conference, Square Enix answered many questions. There were a variety of questions, though most of them focused heavily on the technical aspects of the game.

The good and bad news for Final Fantasy XI players is that you won't be able to port your adventurer to Final Fantasy XIV - Good news because we finally have an answer.

Still no confirmation as to whether Final Fantasy XIV is Rapture, although they do confirm that, despite the appearance of many recognisable races on the Final Fantasy XIV Collage, this will not be set in Vana'diel.
