With E3 2009 now behind us, news on Final Fantasy 14 will unavoidably slow down a little in the coming couple of months. Leviathan?

When I first watched the trailer for Final Fantasy 14, as soon as that sea serpent rose out of the sea in the storm, I shouted out "It's Leviathan!" Further speculation has led our staff team to the conclusion that this is indeed Leviathan, although the purpose that he will play in Final Fantasy 14 is currently unconfirmed. Beta Release?

An E3 interview posted on a Japanese site, that until recently was undiscovered, interviewed the development team akin to previous interviews. There's nothing new in the interview except news on the Beta release! Hurray!

Hiromichi Tanaka, the producer of Final Fantasy 14, is cited as saying "Expect an announcement soon!" about the Beta release. Whether this means we'll hear about it in four months or a year is unknown, but the expression "soon" sure beats our expectant 2010.

Site News

And lastly, over the coming weeks I'm going to be assembling a staff team to help me take this site further and compete as one of the top resource sites when Final Fantasy 14 is released. I'm currently coding a system to handle this high level of content and I'm looking for some enthusiastic gamers to help me! I'm going to need about a dozen people to help with this, as the volume of content involved is enormous.

Lastly, I'm currently working on a site overhaul. This layout was a temporary measure so I could hurry and get the site up in time to catch the tail end of the E3 hype. Now that E3 is over and news has slowed, it gives me perfect time to skin this site. It should be online within a day or two!
