Security Tokens were recently released for players of Final Fantasy XI. These tokens generated a random six digit number upon every login to the PlayOnline / Final Fantasy XI service. Without this number, it's impossible to login to an account. It was asked whether these recently acquired security tokens would be obsolete upon fourteen's release: it has been confirmed that players will be able to use these tokens to make Final Fantasy 14 accounts secure in a similar way.
