As outlined in our recent What We Know so Far analysis, the logo artwork for Final Fantasy XIV apparently harbours the secret of Final Fantasy XIV's Battle System. It's not clear just what this means exactly at this moment in time, though you can be sure the coming few weeks will be abound with speculation.

A hint was given by at the interview linked above that the "wheel" of characters, wielding different weapons, was the secret to the Final Fantasy XIV battle system. There was an emphasis on the protecting of a comrade's back in a wheel formation. If everyone is facing outwards with their weapons drawn, then their backs are being covered by a comrade. This imagery is apparently the "secret" to the Final Fantasy XIV logo artwork.

This could be the emphasis on team play, although Square Enix repeatedly insist that gameplay will be a balance of solo and team play. We're going to go on a whim here and predict that the introduction movie, when released, will feature a circle of adventurers facing an oncoming stream of enemies.
